Smaller Footprint

20ft Standard Container

The 20ft is the smaller of the two standard sizes. Inside, it measures about 19 ft 4 in long, 7 ft 9 in wide and 7 ft 10 in high, and it can be placed in spots a 40ft cannot reach.

It suits a renovation, seasonal equipment, or a business that has outgrown its back room. It needs 110 feet of straight clearance at the drop point.

Common Uses

  • ✓ Seed, parts and hand tools kept dry on a rice or soybean farm in the Delta.
  • ✓ A locked tool room on a commercial job site in Little Rock or North Little Rock.
  • ✓ Seasonal stock behind a store or restaurant where a 40ft container will not fit.
  • ✓ Gear storage at a hunting camp or lake property in the Ouachitas or the Ozarks.
  • ✓ Furniture, records and event equipment for a church, school or nonprofit.
  • ✓ Salvaged contents on a farm or business property while storm damage is repaired.

Double the Space

40ft Standard Container

Twice the storage of a 20ft in the same width. The 40ft standard suits contractors, farms and businesses with large equipment or many pallets.

The trade is access. A 40ft needs 130 feet of straight clearance. On a constrained lot, two 20ft units may fit where one 40ft will not.

Common Uses

  • ✓ Pallet storage beside a warehouse or plant along Interstate 40 or in Jonesboro's industrial areas.
  • ✓ Feed, equipment and supplies on a poultry or cattle farm in the Arkansas River Valley or the Ozarks.
  • ✓ Material staging for a multi-phase commercial build in central Arkansas.
  • ✓ Maintenance parts and supplies at a sawmill or paper plant in south Arkansas.
  • ✓ Off-season storage for a school district, county road department or parks crew.
  • ✓ Seasonal inventory for a retailer or distributor that needs one long dry room.

Most Space

40ft High Cube Container

Same footprint as the standard 40ft, one foot taller: 9 ft 6 in outside and about 8 ft 10 in inside. That foot can help with tall equipment and overhead services, while insulation and a finished floor reduce the available headroom.

The extra foot suits conversions such as offices, bunkhouses, break rooms and workshops. It needs the same clearance as any 40ft: 130 feet of straight run.

Common Uses

  • ✓ Racked parts and tall shelving in a shop yard where floor space is short.
  • ✓ Tall implements and sprayer parts on a Delta or northeast Arkansas farm.
  • ✓ A starting shell for a home or office conversion that needs headroom after insulation.
  • ✓ Event staging, lighting cases and booth materials for fairs and festivals.
  • ✓ Contractor materials stored upright instead of spread across a job site.
  • ✓ Lake house or cabin gear on rural acreage outside city limits.

Custom

Modified Containers

A modified container starts as a standard steel box and gains the parts you need: doors, windows, insulation, electrical, climate control. The result is a weatherproof structure that can be placed wherever the delivery truck can reach.

Which modifications matter depends on where it will sit. Insulation and ventilation are decided by climate, not preference, so tell us the site and the intended use before the specification is fixed.

Common Uses

  • ✓ A job site office with a door, a window, lights and air conditioning for a central Arkansas contractor.
  • ✓ A farm office and parts room at the edge of a Delta field.
  • ✓ A workshop with a roll-up door and wiring on rural acreage.
  • ✓ A secure tool crib beside a plant or warehouse in Jonesboro.
  • ✓ A ticket booth or concession storage room at a fairground or ballfield.
  • ✓ An insulated room for supplies that cannot take summer heat.

Refrigerated

Refrigerated (Reefer) Containers

A reefer is a shipping container with a refrigeration unit built into one end. The insulation is part of the original build, not added afterwards.

Available in 20ft and 40ft. It needs a 480V 3-phase connection, or a compatible generator where 3-phase power is not on site. Confirm your power supply before ordering.

Common Uses

  • ✓ Tomato and produce growers around Warren in Bradley County holding a harvest before it ships.
  • ✓ Wild game processors handling a busy deer season.
  • ✓ Caterers and festival vendors who need cold storage at an outdoor event.
  • ✓ Restaurants and grocers keeping stock cold during a cooler repair or a remodel.
  • ✓ Farmers market growers and farm stands between picking and market day.
  • ✓ Nurseries and florists holding plants and cut flowers at a set temperature.

Before You Order

Site Preparation and Delivery Clearance

Place the container on flat, level ground. Delivery requires straight, unobstructed space for the truck.

Required Straight Clearance

20ft
110 feet straight clearance
Measured from the drop point in a straight line
40ft
130 feet straight clearance
Standard and high cube both

Also check: at least 10 ft of width, at least 15 ft of driving height and at least 22 ft of height along the entire unloading path, plus the road surface. Gravel and dirt may be workable, but flag steep grades and soft ground before booking.
