Container Delivery Across Arkansas

Container One arranges delivery from Little Rock to Jonesboro and from Fort Smith to El Dorado, where the truck has the access it needs. Container One's Delivery/Dispatch department contacts you to set a delivery date and time. Timing depends on your location, when payment arrives and the weather, among other factors.

Little Rock, Conway and Jonesboro sit on the interstate network, so a delivery in town comes down to the site itself: the straight run, the overhead clearance and the ground at the drop spot. Away from the cities, the route matters as much as the site. Ozark and Ouachita drives climb and curve under tree cover, while Delta field roads and south Arkansas timber roads can stay soft after heavy rain.

The delivered price depends on your address, which is why the quote starts with your ZIP code. Give us yours, in the form below or by calling (330) 510-5817, and a Container One sales representative prepares the quote for your location.

Little Rock skyline on the south bank of the Arkansas River, with a river bridge and wooded hills to the west

Little Rock and Central Arkansas

The capital, North Little Rock and the suburbs along Interstates 30 and 40 and US 67.

Little Rock's older neighborhoods have mature trees, overhead lines and narrow drives, and west Little Rock adds hills. The city's code says cargo containers are not appropriate to serve as accessory buildings on residentially zoned land (Section 36-252), so a home lot inside the city starts with a call to the zoning office. Commercial yards, job sites and acreage outside the city limits give more room. A 20ft container needs 110 feet of straight run, so it can fit where the 130 feet a 40ft needs is not available.

Wooded slope of Crowley's Ridge rising above flat northeast Arkansas farm fields near Jonesboro

Jonesboro and Northeast Arkansas

Crowley's Ridge, Arkansas State University and the row-crop country around them.

Farm yards and shop lots around Jonesboro often have room for a full unloading run, but field roads can stay soft after heavy rain, so a gravel pad or a dry spell makes the set-down easier. Inside Jonesboro, Section 117-225 of the city code puts accessory buildings in the single-family districts in the rear yard and requires them to be similar in architectural style and appearance to the house, so check a home lot with the Planning and Zoning Department first.

Flat Arkansas Delta rice fields with a grain bin and a gravel levee road under a wide sky

The Arkansas Delta

Flat farmland along the Mississippi, Arkansas and White rivers, from Pine Bluff and Stuttgart to Helena-West Helena.

The Delta is flat, open country, and a farm yard or shop lot often has room for the 130 feet of straight run a 40ft container needs. The ground is the issue: clay and silt hold water, and turnrows and levee roads can rut under a loaded truck after rain. Describe the surface at the set-down spot, and plan the delivery for a dry stretch. Check the FEMA flood map before choosing a spot near a river or bayou.

Forested ridges of the Ouachita Mountains above a lake near Hot Springs, Arkansas

Hot Springs and the Ouachita Mountains

Wooded ridges, lakes and cabin country west of Little Rock.

The Ouachitas run in east to west ridges, so many drives climb, curve or cross a creek before they reach a level spot. A winding gravel drive may not offer 110 straight feet for a 20ft container or 130 feet for a 40ft, and low limbs can block the 22 feet of unloading height. Near Malvern and Arkadelphia, the Arkansas Geological Survey maps clay that shrinks and swells as its moisture content changes. For temporary placement, support all four corner castings with compacted gravel, concrete pads or treated timbers on a drained spot, ensuring the supports stay firm and level when the ground gets wet; for permanent placement or conversion, have a design professional size the foundation and anchorage for the soil, local frost line and local wind and seismic requirements.

Tall pine forest along a two-lane highway in south Arkansas timber country

South Arkansas Timber Country

Pine forests, mill towns and oil country from Texarkana to Crossett.

Plant and mill yards often have hard surfaces and room to turn, while rural lots can sit at the end of a sandy or clay timber road. Low pine limbs over a drive can block the 22 feet of height the truck needs to tilt the bed. The U.S. Department of Energy's climate guide classes five counties, Columbia, Lafayette, Little River, Miller and Union, as hot-humid, so a refrigerated or conditioned container there works hard through the summer.

Ozark Mountain hardwood forest and limestone bluffs above a river in northern Arkansas

The Ozarks and the Arkansas River Valley

Hills, hollows and river towns from Russellville and Fort Smith to Mountain Home.

The Ozarks bring rock near the surface, steep grades and narrow county roads, and some routes cross creeks on fords or low-water bridges a loaded truck may not be able to use. Check the whole route, not just the last driveway, and describe any bridge, ford or sharp turn when you ask for a quote. Twelve northern counties sit in the colder 4A climate zone, which calls for more insulation in a conditioned container. Rogers and Mountain Home list an 18 inch frost line for footings.

Rural, Remote or Off-Road Property?

Container One arranges delivery to unpaved properties when the ground and access allow it. Tell us the access situation: how long the drive or track is, how tight the turns are, and anything the truck has to cross or pass under.
